OT Cyber Security Foundations

A practical introduction to operational technology cyber security for engineers working with control systems, industrial networks and automation equipment.

Follow the design of the fictional Riverside Water Transfer Station as you learn how to define systems, identify risks, design zones and conduits, specify security requirements and plan verification activities.

No cyber-security qualification is required. Familiarity with industrial control systems is helpful but not essential.

About the author

The training is written by Jonny Wilson, Design Engineer and EngTech TMIET, drawing on industrial control-system design, automation, functional-safety and IEC 62443 training and project experience.

The aim is to make specialist engineering subjects easier to understand and apply without oversimplifying the technical decisions involved.
